Welcome to my shop, KeepsUinStitches! I'm so glad you are here. I hope you enjoy your visit and will return soon.
I started sewing in second grade, taking a summer 4-H class, and have been "in stiches" ever since. Raised in a loving family, and taught to many things with my hands, learning to sew was inevitable. We made crafts, grew veggies and flowers, baked, and so much more, all the while keeping a good sense of humor.
My parents were both school teachers for many years, and I became an elementary teacher. In the classroom I have incorporated much of my sewing skills, making curtains for the room, gifts for room parents, and having fun with class craft projects.
My first clothing item, in third grade, was a pink half apron, which I still have! My mother was always making something for my sister or myself, and set a wonderful example of what you can do when you have the desire.
