About

Artist/Author,
About fourteen years ago, I decided to give painting a try. To my surprise, I finished two successful acrylic works and I loved it. A friend talked me into trying a watercolor class, and to this day, that is my medium of choice, although I do venture into acrylic, oil, altered art, collage and mixed media, my main focus is watercolor.
My favorite subject is the southern landscape, and I like to paint it with an edgy, modern style. Most of my inspiration comes from Mississippi nature. I have a deep love for the south and the landscape that surrounds me. Old barns, tractors, trucks, plantations, houses and many other weathered and rusty items keep me enthralled. Currently, I am working on a seriesof watercolor and ink trees, painted to represent those that grow everywhere on my hilltop. I love to paint them ...

My art resume' includes:

* Juried selection for the Meridian Museum of Art in Mississippi
* Different awards, including Best of Show and 1st place in Belmont Bear Creek Festival.
* Representation by The Corinth Art Gallery, Corinth, MS. and The Caron Prince Art Gallery in Tupelo, MS.

This is the first time to actually sell online, but it is really alot of fun, especially conversing with others about art. Currently, I have art exhibited the gallery in Corinth, MS, in Tupelo, MS at Tupelo Stone and The Caron Prince Art Gallery, and at other local areas. One day, I plan to work on my art and writing full time.
