I think we all need a little more fun in our lives and an extra smile (or two!) a day. I try to include one with every package I send. ;)

I wish I could say I'd planned this for years, calculating to the day how and when I would open an online store, but I'm a lousy liar. :)

I actually stumbled into this (fate whacking me over the head w/ a 2x4... who knew?), when my best friend and I were about to attend a Vancouver Canucks hockey game. As a little treat, I decided to make miniature jersey earrings, with her favourite player and mine. Mine were home jerseys (blue) & hers were away (white).

I sent her some pics before she saw them in person, and she said, "Hey, why don't you make a few more and see if you can sell them - these are so cute!" I of course said, 'Naaaaah!…

I sent her some pics before she saw them in person, and she said, "Hey, why don't you make a few more and see if you can sell them - these are so cute!" I of course said, 'Naaaaah! Nobody would buy them', but being the best friend that she is, convinced me to make them anyway (Lifelong debt of gratitude? Check.)

We were there milling around the festivities before the game for all of ten minutes, when a girl came up to us and said, "Where did you get your earrings?", and another ten minutes later, the 5 extra pairs I'd brought were sold (if you had been watching from overhead, it probably looked like a flock of seagulls had landed on us, and we were the last french fry)!

Of course the Vancouver Canucks made it all the way to the Stanley Cup final that year, hosted by my city. I was at every home game, & at the big screen downtown with 1000's of my closest friends when the boys played away. In the process, my business blew up (thanks boys)!

Unfortunately I wasn't able to sustain the sales despite my best efforts, and decided to put my shop on hiatus for a year and took a job as a website administrator. I didn't have time to sleep, much less create and I missed it. Once I got my feet under me, I had time to review with an impartial eye what had gone wrong, and right, and came up with an idea that excited me. Of course, my best friend once again thought I'd had the greatest idea since sliced bread (besties - gotta love 'em).

Now I'm back and ready to unveil my brand new idea to you! Well, a new spin on a previous idea to be more accurate.

So now that you know how it all started, come on in & see me spin all of my plates at the same time... oops! One's falling, gotta go - but check out my shop while you're here too!

Keep smilin',
Bobbie
