We are a Scottish husband wife team who enjoy primarily designing and making jewellery.
Mike designs and makes things (including beads!) with polymer clay. Pat designs and makes jewellery and other arts and crafts.
Designing and creating had taken a back seat over the years as we concentrated upon busy careers.
Early retirement a few years ago gave us the opportunity to expand our arts and crafts business and create Shoogly Beads.
If you're wondering where the name 'Shoogly' comes from.....it's a good Scottish word that describes a shaky or wobbly movement....like a wobbly table leg for instance. We think it describes a lot of the jewellery Pat likes to make! A shoogly bracelet would be the perfect charm bracelet that shakes and makes a pleasant jingling noise as you move.
