I love working on all kinds of creative projects. It all started many years ago when I took a class in hand-building pottery . Ever since then pottery has been my first love, whether hand built, wheel-thrown or just decorated ceramics. Since we moved around a lot at that time and I was working in various other endeavors - such as in our own print shop - I sold my kiln, and sadly have not created much hand-built pottery since then.

However, while living in New Mexico I started working with ceramics, mostly pieces with a Southwest theme, like fetish bears, lizards, Kokopellis, Indian style wedding vases, all of which I learned to love ever since I had a Southwest decorative…

However, while living in New Mexico I started working with ceramics, mostly pieces with a Southwest theme, like fetish bears, lizards, Kokopellis, Indian style wedding vases, all of which I learned to love ever since I had a Southwest decorative accessories store called The Santa Fe Connection in Breckenridge, CO for eleven years.

Nowadays I work sometimes on ceramics, other times on wall decor, or embellishing different items with found treasures, and also have begun to love beading my own style of jewelry. In addition, I like to hunt for eclectic treasures, old and new, either to sell in my vintage shop or use as embellishments for items which will appear in

I sign my work in several different ways. Either with a stylized owl and a number (I collect owls), “by Siggi”, or with “SE”. Sometimes I sign both, front and back.

I do hope you enjoy both my shops! Feel free to convo me with any questions, including those of a counter offer or just to say hello!

P.S. The Twin Mountains on my shop banner and now on my Facebook banner are what I see every day out of my living room picture windows! Their official name is the “Spanish Peaks”, as they are within the Spanish Peaks Wilderness. The Indians originally roaming this area called them the “Huajatolla” (Wahatoya) mountains, which translates into English as “The Breasts of the World”. They are magnificent and absolutely spectacular at any time of the day all year . . . it is said they make their own weather and I know it’s true, I have witnessed it many time!
