My father started making silverware jewelry 25 years ago in our home state of New Mexico. It started as a simple anniversary gift for my mom. But after a very short time of wearing her new bracelet, they were both inundated with requests from friends and strangers alike for their own unique pieces.

For me, I moved up to the Pacific Northwest in the fall of 2002 and knew right away I would call it home. The scenery is captivating and there is so much inspiration and opportunity for an artist.

In 2009 my wife and I welcomed a beautiful baby boy. At that point, our circumstances allowed me to be a stay-at-home dad. This time away from the daily grind helped me to realize how fortunate I was to have a father who worked from home allowing him a lot of quality time with our family. My father started making silverware jewelry 25 years ago in our home state of New Mexico. It started as a simple anniversary gift for my mom. But after a very short time of wearing her new bracelet, they were both inundated with requests from friends and strangers alike for their own unique pieces.

For me, I moved up to the Pacific Northwest in the fall of 2002 and knew right away I would call it home. The scenery is captivating and there is so much inspiration and opportunity for an artist.

In 2009 my wife and I welcomed a beautiful baby boy. At that point, our circumstances allowed me to be a stay-at-home dad. This time away from the daily grind helped me to realize how fortunate I was to have a father who worked from home allowing him a lot of quality time with our family. It became abundantly clear that I had a wonderful opportunity before me. What better way to express my artistic abilities than to use skills I learned from my dad growing up. We applied for our business license and began setting up Silver Wears in October 2010.

I find more and more that not only do I enjoy designing and making my pieces, but also traveling the back roads of Washington State searching through antique stores for these long forgotten treasures and envisioning what wonderful things
