About

Hello and welcome!

My name is Silvia and I was born and raised in Managua, Nicaragua where I studied Hotel Management and Tourism. Since I was little, I recall seeing my grandmother sewing and asking me to thread the needle for her. She used to teach me little sewing tricks and she would ask me to help her when she could no longer see well, she was one of my most important inspirations.

I have been living in USA since 2003 with my family and I found ETSY through a google search I was doing.

At first it was hard for me to decide what items I wanted to sew and sell but I started narrowing the list of my Items through my sales. I make simple things but I think that with practice I will get better and better so here I am, taking baby steps to gain more experience.

I got my shop name through conversations with my husband. I wanted people to know that my sewing was simple but I also wanted to combine my shop name with a little piece of my country so I decided to include in my shop a picture of the "gueguense" which is a synthesis of Indigenous and Spanish cultures combining theater, dance and music and it is considered a colonial-era expression.

I work in my Etsy store mostly on the weekends. The easiest way to contact me is through Etsy's website, I check my e-mail several times a day.

Thank you so much for your business,
