Jewelry making is my third “career”. I started out making charms for wine glasses because I could not find any that I really liked in the store. After making some for myself, I made custom sets for friends using semi-precious stones and charms that reflected their hobbies and interests.
Then I took classes on wire work and stringing. I made a few pieces of jewelry for myself and before long I was totally hooked! Making jewelry is truly my passion and joy.
I especially love to work with color. You will notice that many of my pieces are quite colorful. My work will often reflect the colors of the current season.
I welcome requests for custom work so if you have an idea or see something you like but wish it were slightly different, please contact me using the "Conversations" link at the top…

I like to use handmade lampwork beads that I typically buy on Etsy or Ebay from other artisans, natural pearls because I like the slight irregularity of their shape and size, Swarovski crystals because they can really dress up a piece of jewelry and they come in all kinds of fun colors, and semi precious stones because there are so many beautiful colors and patterns that nature has provided for us Lampwork beads are made by melting narrow rods of glass by hand over an open flame, usually a torch The glass is wrapped around a thin metal rod, a mandrel, which later becomes the hole through the bead Many effects can be achieved through using various colors of glass and various techniques
