My love affair with fabric began in the Saint Vincent De Paul second hand store when I was eight. I was admiring a piece of green paisley fabric when the store clerk asked me if I liked it. I said yes I really did, she said take it home and make something of it. That was the beginning of my journey into the world of fabric and all the wonderful things you can do with it. I know the Barbie clothes I made from that paisley were crude at best, but I loved them and how it made me feel to create something. I never forgot that woman and how her simple act of giving changed the course of my life.
That journey took me from doll clothes to my clothes, quilting, slip covers, window treatments, baby clothes and now grandbaby clothes. I learned many lessons on that journey such as patience, economics, and that sometimes our visions are not always good, but we have to find out the hard way.
