About

I am a grandmother to twin grandsons and single mom of 2 grown sons...So to counter balance the testosterone in my life I created a very feminine and romantic world of one of a kind vintage painted shabby chic furniture and romantic collages and recycled or re-invented items that work perfectly in a cottage home.

Chic not Shabby....aged more gracefully than I.
I only use vintage or antiques and re-purpose them with paints, vintage wallpaper, hand painted roses or vintage barkcloth fabric or totally repurpose them into new objects...like my window boxes and bed benches and frames made from old moldings.
I also just started to mold anything I can for appliques to apply to furniture.
All the work is done in my old 1800s home in a beautiful small upstate New York historic town.

I am a one woman team self taught and I find peace and joy in my creativity. Etsy is the most inspiring place in the world and allows me the outlet to share my work. I couldn't be more thankful for the inspiration and the opportunity!
My first love and job was in a vintage clothing store in Greenwich Village in the 1960's so you will see bias gowns, silk velvets and lingerie form the 1930's and I hope to start listing all my vintage supplies (jewelry findings, ephemera, wallpaper) this winter.

I hope you will see new ideas and something you just can't live with out and maybe even come for a visit !
