About

My bare toes nuzzle the wet blades of grass. The early morning air whispers against my skin and weaves through my auburn hair. The dawn of the Texas sky has silenced the nocturnal and left sun kisses in its wake. Birds sing their sweet song to me and I whistle them back. Horses neigh in the background. They sense it too. The wonderful aroma of dew and summer grass fills our senses with euphoria of a new opportunistic day. A memory never to be forgotten. Photographed in my mind at the tender age of five. Growing up in the country blessed me with many opportunities to use my imagination, love the world that surrounded me, and use anything I could to entertain myself. Whether it was a helpless lightening bug, a pile of dirt, or my mothers fabric scraps, I was always creating something from whatever laid in my path to quench that stark thirst for amusement all children feel.

As I grew older, that childlike thirst for entertainment developed into a bottomless need to indulge the creative senses. Namely, arts and crafts. Sometimes the fruits of my obsession would be greatly desirable. Others would turn out like a “Thousand ways not to make a lightbulb.” Either way, I just can’t help myself. I joke that it’s a curse and sometimes it is. Being a mother of three young children, sleep is precious. But all too often I find myself on four hours of broken sleep, lying wide awake behind closed lids, fighting the euphoria (same as when I was five) of a new idea. Eighty five point two percent of the time I lose that battle and find myself at the table exploring my epiphany. So, I absolutely LOVE making things. Especially “fruit” that is desirable. The areas I find myself working on the most is what you find on my shop. Jewelry, bookmarks, pet ID tags, keychains...all those FUN items that make an addiction for an artsy maniac like myself easier to keep. I love discovering new methods or trying out something new that inspired me. Thankfully, I have a wonderful husband who loves this side of me and encourages me to keep it up.

Arts and crafts are only one slice of the cake though. I served in the United States Army for 4 years. Where I met my husband. We met on the range right after qualifying on the Army’s weapon of choice. A little over two years later my full time career as a soldier ended and I became a Stay at Home Mom and I have been ever since. I wouldn’t have life any other way. Kids make you grow up and discover a better version of yourself. I love my kids! There is nothing like my baby cooing at the sight of me, or my three year old shove his hands two inches from my face and say, “Look mommy a thspider!” Or my five year old randomly tell me the “matter of fact” things in her world. Life is goooood! Besides what I’ve already told you, I love animals, the outdoors, camping, hiking, painting, drawing, traveling, running, family, the list goes on and on! This shop is my hobby and an outlet for my artsy-ness...and sanity! I hope you enjoy my shop! Thank you for looking!
