Marshall Craig Miller's Profile

About

My formal eduaction is in geology and mining engineering, but I stored a lot of pent up creativity over my career. I discovered stained glass as an art medium in the late 70's I only had time to dip my toe in the pool. It is such a relief now that I am retired to release that part of my brain on a daily basis for creating art. My career was fulfilling, but art feeds my soul. I just let my dreams (in color) lead me on a journey to the next idea and create from there.
Please enjoy my site and visit often. I always have a number of items out of studio touring in galleries so they are not for sale, but as they return I'll be posting them to the shop.

Marshall (Craig)

Marshall Miller is a retired professional geologist/construction project manager living in Lancaster, Ohio. He has been working in stained glass for over 30 years and has completed commissioned windows and lamp shades for homes and businesses using the Tiffany technique (copper foil). Millers' work is highly influenced by nature and geologic processes. His stained glass art commonly contains agates and glass cabochons in flowing layers inspired by sedimentary erosional features, structural discontinuities and faults. Other works show a profound pointillism influence. He recently has been creating unique three dimensional nature scenes incorporating plants, insects, fish, reptiles and amphibians.

Marshalls' art can be purchased in Lancaster, Ohio, at Colony Classics & Interiors, Illusions, The Ohio Glass Museum and The Georgian gift shop. His works are also available at Ursus Art Space in Upper Arlington, Ohio, Brath and Hughes Fine Art in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and Tickle My Senses in New Cumberland, PA.
