Welcome to Slightly Spiced! Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you are able to find something that you like, but if not, maybe we can work together to make something perfect.

I've been sewing for over 12 years, starting with a quilt I made when I was 14. Ambitious for a first project? Yeah, I didn't think it was.. but that was before I started it. I still have it. It keeps me warm and cozy, and it one of those blankets you keep because despite the fact that it's absolutely hideous, you just can't seem to part with it. I love making clothes and I do so for myself and my family quite often, but it gets expensive. So, in order to fulfill my love of creating elaborate costumes and beautiful gowns, rather than bankrupting my family, I just... downsized. I started woodburning and glass etching some time ago and have greatly enjoyed the art. I love to draw, but I'm just not very great at drawing freehand. Give me a picture to look at and I'll create a lovely replica, but that's about as far as my free-hand skills go. So woodburning and glass etching seemed a little perfect for me as it often employs this style of drawing. But I particularly enjoy creating art out of something useful. So, a bowl instead of a flat piece of wood, or a plate instead of a sheet of glass. However, I do appreciate the beauty of art for art's sake, so you might find that here as well.

Once again, thank you for stopping by and happy shopping!
