For me its all about the wood. No trim or embellishment could ever replace the natural beauty of the wood. When I work with wood, I feel as if I am painting with the grains. I hunt for just the right pieces with the most pleasing grains and those with colors and textures that enhance one another. Everything about each section of wood used must capture my imagination and in this way I can create what I see in my mind and bring it to life.

Reclaimed lumber is by far my favorite. Around here it is extremely plentiful. I like to combine reclaimed and exotic woods because I believe the two complement each other so well. I call it mountain chic.
