Edna Lennon's Profile
I was raised in Southern, NJ. Growing up in a family of nine children, my earliest memories are of living off the land and using what we had in abundance near us.
When I moved to Alaska in 1999, I had passion like interest about the different plants and berries. Their uses and abundance here in Alaska. I read books, sought advice from homesteaders and Natives, and experimented. I combined what I knew from canning and growing my food in NJ to what was available here in Alaska.
I have been giving my goods as gifts, selling at shows and in local shops for the past seven years to supplement my income.
I retired this past May and now have the time to turn my passion into something to do with my retirement years.
With the help of my daughter in law, Mina, we have created "Snow River Pantry, The Taste of Alaska"
