I enjoy the Etsy community. There are so many creative shop owners who are fun and genuine. I have made some awesome cyber friends on Etsy. That’s the icing on the cake of having a forum where I can present my various creations.

I started making soap quite by accident in 2008. Once I tried it, I was hooked. My sister owns an art studio and artist's co-op. In 2007 her soap maker stopped selling soap in her shop. She really missed the soaps and the wonderful fragrance they lent to her studio. I told her I would give soap making a try, and I immediately fell in love with it. The soaps from scratch are my biggest addiction. They are a wonderful blend of science and creativity, which suits me well. I love the creative outlet that glycerin soap crafting presents. There are so many things to create from a glycerin base.

I couldn’t stick just with soaps, and began experimenting with lip balm, lotion, bath salts, and other bath and body goodies. As a teenager, I enjoyed candle making. For a long time I had trouble finding candle making supplies, so I put that hobby on the back burner. It has now been brought to the front thanks to some wonderful internet suppliers.

The listings I have at any given time are just a fraction of my repertoire. I have an infatuation with scents, and therefore have a plethora of fragrance and essential oils. My husband, sister and friends would agree that I have a ridiculous number of fragrance oil bottles stored in my soap room.
