About

After a long, pressurized, fast-paced executive career, I decided to pack it in and do something that I loved and would provide a creative outlet.

I dream about soap designs, keep a pad and pen next to my bed to record them, spend way too many late nights making soap, experimenting and discovering new techniques and methods. I troll the internet for new molds and order way too many of them. I have done my homework, selecting the finest ingredients, reading the best soaping blogs, learning about colorants and fragrances, talking to other soap makers.

About

After a long, pressurized, fast-paced executive career, I decided to pack it in and do something that I loved and would provide a creative outlet.

You can find my shop here:

I dream about soap designs, keep a pad and pen next to my bed to record them, spend way too many late nights making soap, experimenting and discovering new techniques and methods. I troll the internet for new molds and order way too many of them. I have done my homework, selecting the finest ingredients, reading the best soaping blogs, learning about colorants and fragrances, talking to other soap makers.

Some designs are whimsical, some reflect my love of Asian art and culture, some are simply graceful and beautiful, and all are wonderfully gift wrapped. Each item is custom made at the time an order is placed and I look forward to bringing a smile to the faces of my customers. I've recently added solid body lotions and DIY kits for soap-making. Glad you found me! Come back and visit again as I add new designs often. Want something you don't see? Let me know. I'm happy to work with you on making something special, just the way you want it.

Some of my soap molds are made by me, and are usually identified as such in the listing.

I use natural, glycerin soap bases. I would love to try cold process soap making, but I lack adequate ventilation and curing space in my city apartment. Some day ...

My soap bases:

• Are Hypo-Allergenic
• Are Vegan (contain no animal products)
• Are Cruelty-Free (not tested on animals)
• Use No Detergents*
• Use No Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfates*
• Use No Alcohol
• Are Biodegradable
• Are Paraben Free

* A few of my pieces use a glycerin base with SLS, which improves clarity. Ingredients for those pieces will always include those ingredients.

A full ingredients list is included with every listing and I encourage you to read them.

I invite the children of friends, family and neighbors into my home to make soap with me whenever I can, just to see the joy on their faces and hear the squeals of delight.

I have always been drawn to an Asian aesthetic -- art, sculpture, furniture. My home is filled with Asian art, ceramics and sculpture. Many of my pieces belonged to my parents or my grandparents and my soaps are a reflection of that. I love paisley, Erte, Mucha, and most things Deco.

I work out of my New York City apartment and my galley kitchen serves as my lab, my workshop and my photo studio.

I pride myself on providing outstanding customer service and welcome feedback and suggestions. I look forward to making you the finest, most decorative, most fun soap you can buy.

I'm a proud member of the Handcrafted Soapmakers Guild.

It’s nice to meet you!
