When I lost my mom suddenly and unexpectedly in November of 2011 at the age of 55 I searched for a beautiful way to memorialize her that I could see every day. Urns just seemed so cold and impersonal. I scoured Etsy and the web and found a few glass artisans that were able to infuse my mother's cremated remains in beautiful glass beads. I spent two months coming up with a creative way to use the beads. Yes, they can be used for jewelry but I wanted to use them in a new and different way. I took the glass beads and made them the focal point of the beautiful hand-stamped suncatchers you see in my shop today (one for me and one for my dad). I see my angel suncatcher every day when I drive to work, church and anywhere I go. I feel she is always with me protecting me on my journey. And yes, sometimes I talk to her. :)
