Hi my name is Renee...thank you for stopping by SomethingSeaBlue. A little bit about my crazy self :)....

I am a 5th generation seamstress and have been sewing since I was really young...at that time little did I know that sewing for necessity would later become my livelihood! But it has always been my passion. When I didn't have any fabric I would go through mom's linen closet or pull down the curtains for that matter! to create something new to wear "tomorrow"!

I have always pretty much been self taught, just figuring it out along the way, later…

I have always pretty much been self taught, just figuring it out along the way, later I did go to Fashion Design School and studied Patternmaking both the American way and the French couture way using the "Moulage" method taught by Kenneth King. Kenneth is an amazing artist with a genuine love for his craft, he was a great inspiration and motivator for me. Then in November of 2000 I opened my sewing shop, in quaint town of Niles it was called, "Seams Dreamy...where all your seams come true..." and what a wonderful fun experience that was for me and my two children a way for me to provide for them and yet be able to be with them...later I moved into my home studio and thats where I've been since.

I have been teaching sewing classes for 11 years now..I love being able to pass this wonderful craft onto eager learners in a relaxed and creative environment, and see what inspires them to create as well...

I also love to read, photography, love love love to tend to my flowers and talk to the birds while at it :) to write, to search thrift and antique stores for precious little vintage finds, and most of all I love the coast..its there I love to go, to walk alone on the beach and think and create in my mind new things to make or just be inspired...I love to collect shells and sea glass and bits of driftwood...to use for someone else to enjoy...I love the California coast, especially Half Moon Bay where I have gone since I was a child, Tunnels beach in Kauai and the Outerbanks of North Carolina. Places I would love to see one day are Scotland and Ireland, the Amalfi Coast in Italy, Barcelona, Portugal and Brazil. But even though a little adventure is intriging, my most favorite place to be is home, home in my little box :) its where Im most inspired....

I try to sew anything but my love is bridal wear, I like to be a part in making a brides dream come true...so if you have any dream that I can help make a reality please convo me whether its for bridal wear or jewelry..my favorite is beach side weddings :)

So I hope you enjoy your bit of SomethingSeaBlue and it makes you as happy as it made me in creating it....

"Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it." Goethe

SomethingSeaBlue now being carried at Bangles in Tybee Island, Georgia!
