The story behind the Sorringowl & Sons' Leather Pipe Pouch: Shortly after I took up pipe smoking, I was in my workshop one day, smoking my pipe, and lamenting over how my cheap, store-bought, mass-produced, vinyl pipe bag didn't really suit my needs or style. As I sat in front of my workbench, surrounded by old, but really well-made tools (that I still use to this day), I was inspired by a vintage, leather, roll up chisel holder, that I had purchased years back at an antique market. The design was so simple, rugged and useful that I thought to myself, "Why can't someone make a pipe pouch like that?" So I did.

Over the years, the design, my skills, and my processes have all improved to culminate into the many different versions of the pouch that you see today.

Construction & Materials: I hand select all of my leather, one hide at a time, and hand cut and construct all of my leather goods using very supple, undyed, vegetable tanned leather, which I then hand dye and condition (using my own dye and conditioner recipes). This creates color and grain patterns that are unique to each individual item, and a patina that with time and use will only get better.

It is my hope that you will get so much use and enjoyment out of my goods, that, one day, you will want to pass them down to someone else. Thanks for visiting my shop!
