Jema trained in Theatre Design at Nottingham Trent University, specialising in costume. After leaving university and working in the entertainment industry, her corsetry designs for the burlesque and gothic community were spotted by friends and brides wanting something unusual, and so Kindred Spirits Bridal-Originals was born!

Her passion for sparkles led her to Tiara creation and jewellery design, and from there to writing about them. Some of her published work includes "Complete Beading" "Tiaras and Bridal jewellery" "Steampunk Emporium" "Steampunk Apothecary" and "Steampunk Teaparty"

Most recently, She has returned to film and theatre and is loving filming dark age epics on windswept hillsides, regency romps in elegant townhouses and designing and making beautiful costumes for the stars.
