Kaya Sattva's Profile

About

I consider myself lucky to have been struck with the love of metal smithing and to be a maker of gifts we give ourselves and each other for beautification, commitment, ritual, and empowerment.

Some of the most rewarding moments I have as a jeweler are the times when I get to see how someone's look is immediately transformed in some lovely way as soon as they try on what was seemingly made for them.

Since 2006 I've enrolled myself in an array of jewelry classes which have lined themselves as stepping stones according to my evolving interests in craft and artistry.

Through thoughtful design, intentional fabrication, detailed crastsmanship, and the use of traditional metalsmithing techniques my work results in unique jewelry precious with meaning that appeals to the eye as well as the soul.

Kaya Sattva Jewelry is crafted in my dedicated studio in Oakland California, with my own two hands one piece at a time and in small batches.

Each piece that I create is labor and craft intensive. Commited to an eco-friendly approach, I work with low-impact and bio-degradable supplies whenever possible.

In my designs the rough diamonds are conflict-free and Herkimer diamonds are sourced directly from their miners in the USA.

My sustainable practices also include the consideration of longevity which I strive for with all of my designs. Both durable and classic, they are all well crafted offering years and years of personal adornment.

Thank you for visiting. I hope that you enjoy seeing these samples of fruit from my inspired imagination and ceaseless creativity!

Best,

Kaya Sattva
