I have a BA in Art History and have studied art in New York, London, and Santa Fe. Always crafty, I’ve dabbled in soap making, stained glass, scrapbooking, painting, drawing, polymer clay, sewing, and many other mediums. I believe I'll run out of breath before I run out of hobbies.
I've found jewelry making provides the perfect outlet for my creative yet perfectionist tendencies while ultimately providing a welcome distraction from daily trivialities and piles of laundry, allowing me to reach a lovely meditative bliss. I've heard it said that creating art is a form of prayer; the act of creating is a devotion of love. As such, it's sometimes hard to part with pieces that are a part of me but I love knowing they will brighten someone else's life.
