Growing up on Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula I started drawing and painting the beauty around me at a very young age. In 2000 one of my paintings was chosen for the Alaska state congressional art award and hung in the halls of congress for a year to represent my home state.
For years I was a watercolor painter but now have begun to enjoy both acrylic and oil paint. I recently began to stretch my own canvas which has added yet another degree to my love for what I do. My Artwork reflects a lot of my travels but right now I am working on building up my "Alaskan" pieces in preparation for the summer season. They are all up in my shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/SpruceAmba
