in 1990 I traveled to Lisieux, Normandy France to study French. I learned a little French but I learned more about the spirituality of St. Therese of Lisieux, the "Little Flower" and her life in the 1800's. For three weeks I explored every nook and cranny of this lovely village that had been home to an extraordinary human being named Marie Francoise Therese Martin, coincidentally a name quite similar to mine, Maria Francine Teresa. This peeked my curiosity even more and I decided to learn all I could about this young woman who loved to paint, write poetry, entered a Carmelite Convent at the age of 15 and last but not least earned the title of The Greatest Saint of Modern Times!
