About

I live in Salt Lake City, Utah with my family, and work in my studio. I enjoy living here because it is an urban environment that is surrounded by beautiful mountains so it is close to many forest recreational areas. The desert part of the state is also only a few hours away. It is a clean and well organized city. This area has four definitive seasons which is also a benefit. It is centrally located and I have access to what I need in order to keep the prices on my panels low. I have lived here a long time but I am not a Mormon. Actually, Salt Lake City is only a 40% Mormon population. The remaining outer areas of the state have a much higher percentage of that religion.

I am very interested in custom work and have been very successful in quite a number of cases helping people fulfill their stained glass panel desires. Sometimes someone likes a panel that I have already made, and we make adjustments back and forth via e-mail exploring ideas and colors until we reach a successful design for their specific needs. Some of these results can be seen in my "Sold" orders area where I show the concept drawing that the panel is based from, and then the completed panel.

I really enjoy the questions and comments that people have chosen to share. They are invaluable, as they challenge me to move beyond my own sense of design and engage with many other people and their ideas. I like hearing from interested people and making new friends. I listen to what they envision in a stained glass window composition, and try to satisfy their dream.

I was drawn into working with stained glass initially because I just love the intense colors. I have no issues repeating a design for many people to enjoy. After looking at many stained glass works historically and currently, I realized that it is the combination of the “lines” and the “colors” which really distinguishes one composition from another. Design revisions are very important to a good composition.

Etsy has offered the opportunity to explore new ideas in stained glass design and reach a larger audience in North America and worldwide. I enjoy working at home so can also be there to take care of our four children, three still at home.

Thanks for your interest !
