Stasia Salvucci's Profile

About

I'm Stasia, sole lady behind The Cave Lady Jewelry (formerly The Stray Arrow).

My greatest material loves are rocks/gemstones, metal and oil paints. I *swoon* over turquoise, I am a turquoise nerd extraordinaire. I graduated from Pratt Institute of Art with degrees in Painting, Jewelry and Art History. I drive all around to Rock&Gem Shows and search for the perfect gems and rare stones for my jewelry. For me, the work is as much about the stones featured as the metals that capture and frame them. Think of my jewels as individual mini art works that you can display next to your smile or skin for all to see...

Personal interest wise, I'm fascinated by all things occult, woodsy, and ancient history (Nordic & Native Woodlands especially). Any semblance of a woodsy nature and I'll be interested. Honest. All they had to do was put some leaves in the math…

Personal interest wise, I'm fascinated by all things occult, woodsy, and ancient history (Nordic & Native Woodlands especially). Any semblance of a woodsy nature and I'll be interested. Honest. All they had to do was put some leaves in the math textbooks at school.. I adore old book illustrations, mid 1700 to late 1800's landscape paintings, English verse, mid 1900's American poetry (Romantics), Seneca myths, Existentialism...pretty much anything that will get the metal gears of my brain tinkling I love exploring. I do very few things in life without listening to some kind of music. If you see my shop "on vacation", I am most likely either on a road trip for rock hunting or a music event.
