You can find the eco-friendly brooches and hair pins I have made from scrap cotton, upcycled silk, and vintage buttons at my etsy storefront: http://www.etsy.com/shop/StitchingInCircles. Please come visit me at www.StitchingInCircles.blogspot.com, too!

By day (and often by night) I am a grad student. However! I also have an inherited love for making and crafting. I grew up down a dirt road in Northern California, and I now live in bohemian Berkeley, where I am putting together a house with my partner of seven years, working on my dissertation, and sneaking in the time for cooking and sewing.

Stitching in Circles is a part-time job for me, but it has far more than half my heart. I love matching the textures and colors of the fabrics I have rescued from oblivion with the buttons I've discovered in my mother's sewing box, thrift stores,…

I love matching the textures and colors of the fabrics I have rescued from oblivion with the buttons I've discovered in my mother's sewing box, thrift stores, antique stores, and various other nooks and crannies. I also support my fellow independent sellers by buying suplies here on Etsy. If you have any questions about the bobby pins and brooches I make, send me a convo here on Etsy, and you can also read my shop policies here http://www.etsy.com/shop/StitchingInCircles/policy. Our home has two little kittens, no dogs, and no smokers.

I learned the art of printing and bookmaking in college, and that cemented for me how materiality matters in the creation of art. I am dipping my toe into the pool of design with the accessories in my Etsy shop -- enjoy!

New Customers: Buying from me and other Etsy sellers is very easy, you simply sign up for an Etsy account, add items to your shopping cart, and then pay. I prefer payments to be through Paypal, but if you do not have a Paypal account don't worry, you can securely pay with your credit card through Paypal.
