About

WELCOME to Studio4Gizzy! We are Fred and Gina, a husband & wife team who have been sharing our love of art for many years.

Our passion for art brought us together in a university painting class over 15 years ago. We sealed the deal in Florence, Italy and have been sharing art and marriage ever since.

The view from our studio consist of gorgeous farmland and rolling hills of Lancaster County, PA. One could spend a life-time just painting the views from our back deck.

I (Gina) find inspiration from everything that surrounds my life. My artistic journey draws me to seek the extraordinary in the ordinary.
My husband (Fred) has a whimsical side to him that is pure joy. His imagination knows no bounds.

You may see that our styles are different, yet we recognize our artistic time together has influenced each others growth and development.

Fred and I sell our work in local galleries and in neighboring states. We are very active in our community's art scene and love playing a part in helping our city of Lancaster thrive as an art destination. We also support our local businesses by getting our giclee prints done right here in the city of Lancaster, PA.

If you have questions about our prints or inquires about print sizes, please do contact us, we will do all we can to help. Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

OUR GICLEE PRINTS:

Our prints are on high-quality archival paper. (William Turner 310 lb.)

These works will stand the test of time and can be passed down to your children and grandchildren if they are framed properly with archival matting. Your local framer can help you with good framing decisions.

Quality, Quality, Quality!!!!
Recent tests show that giclee-quality inkjet prints can have a light- fast life expectancy of 100 to 200 years. When prints are produced on good quality paper, the print should possess archival standards of permanence comparable or better than other collectible artwork. The visual quality of the print is extremely high and the color saturation and definition stunning.

The Term : The term "giclee print" connotes an elevation in printmaking technology. Images are generated from high resolution digital scans and printed with archival quality inks onto various substrates including canvas, fine art, and photo-base paper. The giclee printing process provides better color accuracy than other means of reproduction.

The Market : Numerous examples of giclee prints can be found in New York City at the Metropolitan Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Chelsea Galleries. Recent auctions of giclee prints have fetched $10,800 for Annie Leibovitz, $9,600 for Chuck Close, and $22,800 for Wolfgang Tillmans (April 23/24 2004, Photographs, New York, Phillips de Pury & Company.)
