Susan Wilkins' Profile

About

I am an Internet entrepreneur, mother of two, and stepmother to three. My first sewing project was a despised, mangled, and unidentifiable "apron" that I contemplated setting afire behind my junior high school. I finally developed an interest in sewing in my twenties from my Mom, who is an accomplished seamstress. I also became a sewing machine, fabric, and notions hoarder. I have sewn – and ripped apart – everything from kid's clothing, a crazy-only-because-I-did-not-know-what-I-was-doing quilt, to boat covers and outdoor patio umbrellas. I believe that true sewing talent is not necessarily how well you sew a project the first or even second time, but how you are able to fix or camoflauge your inevitable mistakes. I have lived all across Canada and have settled in the Maritimes. Contact me anytime to have your pdf sewing pattern reviewed and or featured @ Sew-Whats-New.com
