I am a SAHM of two beautiful children. I love to do crafts, gardening and other creative things in my spare time. These things help me feel energized and happy. I am going into my fifth year as a hobby/small scale beekeeper. It is an amazing adventure and one in which I will continue to learn more about being a better beekeeper. I love the connection to our environment - the seasons, bloom times of plants, weather, and our food. I believe in supporting our local farmers. I hope that by keeping my honeybees, I am also helping our environment and the future of the honeybee.

Although beekeeping began as my hobby, my family is becoming more and more involved. My children know amazing information about the inner workings of a hive, just by listening to me as I share my excitement about my hives. They have come out to the hives and have seen the different sized bees and know the jobs that they perform. They've seen the tiny white eggs and plump larvae in their cells. My daughter names each queen in the hive. We currently have Pollen, Nectar, Cherry, Blossom, Jessie, Honey and Clementine. My husband helps me take the honey supers off the hives and extract the honey. It has slowly become a family hobby and I really enjoy that.

There is so much beauty in nature and I hope my shop reflects my admiration for our natural wonders. My shop will offer raw honey products from my hives, pure beeswax candles and cold-processed soaps. The source of most of my beeswax is a local fellow beekeeper, as my hives are still relatively new, but I will be using my own beeswax in my lip balms. I like to purchase local when I can. I will try to reuse packaging material when I can as well or purchase packaging made with post-consumer content. Any honey I offer will be from my own hives. I am having a lot of fun using the by-products of the hive in crafting and am excited to be able to share them with you.

I am a proud member of my local hobby beekeeping club - Minnesota Hobby Beekeepers Assoc.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my shop and for supporting a hobby beekeeper. Have a beeutiful day!
