Hello, Welcome to Sweet Heritage

I have been crafting since I can remember. It started with sewing when I was 12, then embroidery and crocheting when I was in my teens. It continued into my 20’s and 30’s, when I added baking elaborate cakes, playing with ceramics, glass etching, macramé and anything else that struck my fancy.

I enjoyed all of these things, but I wouldn’t consider any one a passion of mine, until my step-daughter introduced me to beading. The flexibility of the design process appealed to me and I made a variety of pieces using a variety of materials. I made mistakes and learned lots.

Then I discovered the world of wire wrapping! No solder and no glue!!! How fascinating that a beautiful piece of jewelry could be made out of the raw materials and would (and has) last through time without needing glue and solder. And so many choices of stones and gemstones to combined. The varieties are endless. And I was lost. And somewhat obsessive about making pieces.

Before I knew it, I was making gifts for everyone and then I had more pieces than I personally could wear or give away. So, Sweet Heritage was born.

My goal is to make pieces that will last and be handed down to our daughter’s and grand-daughter’s. I hope you enjoy my shop and find a piece that will become a piece that you will enjoy and cherish.
