A friendly hello from Melanie. Sweet Tooth Quilts just relocated from the corn fields of Iowa to the gorgeous area in the San Bernardino mountain community of Lake Arrowhead, California. As I sew, I look out on the pine trees and see the Blue Jays hopping on our deck to snatch a peanut or two.
I belonged to the Eastern Iowa Heirloom Quilt Guild for 14 years and won ribbons and awards for my original designs and workmanship. Now I am the President of the Dogwood Quilters here in the mountains. My 92 year old mother is a member of this guild.
In my high school years in Colton, California, I made all my clothes because I wanted to wear things that were really unique and different from everyone else. So I have been stitching for most of my life.

I love fabric My first job was at House of Fabrics when I was only 15 years old 5 decades later I am still working in a fabric store I have tons of cotton scraps from all my quilts and other projects, so I get a kick out of creating original items using up my scraps, only problem is that just gives me more scraps to use
