About

I've always loved and collected jewellery that has what I would call "personality' meaning it's been crafted by an individual and has it's own inspiration and back story. I am mostly self-taught apart from a couple of introductory courses in Silversmithing and Precious Metal Clay. I draw inspiration from many things, nature, art, architecture. Texture is a really big thing for me and I love jewellery that's tactile and has movement. I don't tend to do formal designs but work in a more organic fashion and because of this it's difficult to pin down a particular style to describe my jewellery - It's an eclectic mix that tries to reflect something of me as well as finding resonance with the person who buys and hopefully loves it.

You'll also find accessories like hand knit scarfs and bag charms in my shop - even when I'm not working on jewellery I'm usually working with my hands and making something! All this creativity takes place at my home in the beautiful county of Dorset near the south coast of England and the New Forest so there's plenty of inspiration on my doorstep.

I strive to carry my passion through to my relationship with my customers with the service I give. I'm always happy to discuss custom orders for something that little bit more personal to the individual. Or, if you see something in the shop you like but would prefer it with a little tweak - let me know and i'll see what I can do. Please take a little time to read my shop policies as these help me to give you the service you expect. Please also feel free to leave me your feedback as this is invaluable in both maintaining and improving the products and service I can offer you.

If you're wondering about the name of my shop...Thea was the Greek goddess of sight and the lights of the sky, as personified by her children Helios, Selene, and Eos - goddesses of the sun, moon and dawn. In addition to these natural wonders, Thea also had dominion over gems and precious metals and the light therein. That seemed to me like a good enough reason to have her as the muse for my jewellery business. The Avatar that I use for the shop is from a painting called Star of Heaven by Edward Robert Hughes.
