About

Welcome. I am a retired software engineer and needlework shopowner. I'm married to a very supportive man and currently have two pug babies, Lester and Otis.

I love stitching and teaching stitching. Counted thread needlework appeals to my logical mind and soothes my soul. Cross stitch, hardanger, drawn thread, and especially band samplers. I knit when I'm not stitching.

I also love gadgets, especially embroidery scissors. Hence, the creation of beautiful scissor fobs. I started out trying to think of something to make for the ladies in my stitch group and before I knew it I had about 2 dozen fobs designed! And most stitchers can use all the help they can get with counting, so I added counting pins for needlepoint and cross stitch. About

For those stitchers who strive to perfect their work I have pretty beaded eyeglass chains, lovely beaded laying tools/sewing stilettos, stitch pickers and needle threaders. And then a friend suggested I make stitch markers for knitters and voila! Adding bling to your needlework is just plain fun.

All scissor fobs in my shop are unique and made by me. I love glass and porcelain beads. But because I design primarily by color inspirations, I find that limiting myself to particular materials can make that process more difficult. So I also use beads made of metal, wood, acrylic. and bone, depending on how the design comes to me. The tassels are also made by me with embroidery floss.

A fob makes a great decoration for a purse or backpack. They add pizzazz to a china cabinet knob or armoire. I've even sold one as stethoscope bling! Personalize your tennis bag, keychain or briefcase with one. And because my fobs are attached by a loop of chain not a lobster claw, they will fit on any size scissor handles. However, if you prefer a lobster claw, just say so in the "Message from Buyer" box when you check out.

Some of my scissor fobs have coordinating counting pins and/or laying tool. Links for coordinating items are in each listing. If the fob you like doesn't have coordinating pins (or vice versa), please convo me. I'd be happy to make a set for you.
