Tiffany Jones-Toubeaux's Profile
I'm Tiffany Jones-Toubeaux, and a proud Cameroonian-American! I attended the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. My work is heavily influenced by the architecture and culture of the city.
My photographic work focuses on the city and it's surrounding areas; it's deterioration. I refrain from calling it urban decay. I think of Detroit as a city in a state of metamorphosis. I'm also documenting the disappearance of classic suburban culture.
I have a strange knack for finding things that go unnoticed. I also have a habit of noticing the grotesque, and absurd. I always have my camera ready.
I primarily work with 35mm and 120 black and white film. I have an obsession with collecting vintage cameras: the older the better. I do occasionally shoot in color…
