Transit Antenna's Profile

About

Transit Antenna is a mobile living experiment: seven people living and working while traveling the roads of North America. Sam, Tom, Mateo, Harper, Ray, Felicia and Bowie live on a retired buses that we converted into vegetable oil guzzling motor homes. Collaborating leads us to work beyond our individual interests and to inhabit roles not readily available to us as graduate students or careerists in our fields. We do what compels us. And because our vehicle is our home, we are free to move spontaneously, staying put for a week or shooting across the continent on a whim. In refusing to plan too far ahead, we allow the Transit Antenna project to define itself as the unfolding road carries us to new places, people, and experiences.
The places we visit and people we meet are often the inspiration for our work. Working on the road has it's unique challenges, and with every bump in the road and turn taken too sharply there is a hint of individual character in every item we make!
