About

Jambo! (Swahili for 'hello') After a trip to Tanzania in 2007, I connected with a group of women, Michii (Mee-chee) Women's Group. This group was started by 3 wonderful women who strive for success and help other women achieve financial independence. Batiking fabric with wax technique became a passion of theirs approximately 15 years ago when their husbands were in college. After years of experimenting and working towards quality fabric and dyes, they have achieved excellence in their final product in hand dyed batiks. For more information on the Michii Women: www.asantenetwork.org. The batik fabrics my store has in stock is from their hard work and hands. Hope you enjoy their fabric as much as I do. Asante! (thank you)
