About

I grew up in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, surrounded by nature and people who know how to live off the land.

About

I grew up in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, surrounded by nature and people who know how to live off the land.

I attended college in a small town on the prairie where renewability and sustainability are core values. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Studio Art and Art History, with a focus in photography and book arts. I also have experience in drawing and screen printing.

These days I live and work in the Twin Cities metropolitan area, but I still find time to escape and venture north. I am on the board of directors at a small, non-profit art gallery that is community-focused and provides opportunities for artists of all economic and educational backgrounds.

All animal materials used in my work are either A) found as detritus, B) upcycled from the "scraps" and unwanted waste of the outdoor enthusiasts in my life, or C) they are salvaged from the remnants section of various leather & craft stores. It is not within me to harvest animals solely for the creation of my art, rather to collect and recycle what I can so that the animal is used to its fullest potential.
