As many stories start, mine begins as a child. I loved to read fantasy stories, from The Lord Of The Rings to The Sword Of Shannara. The weapons and armor of the fantasy realms have always held a place within me. They are what sparks my artistic nature.
When I was not yet a teen, I stared my path of chainmaille creations by taking all of my metal coat hangers and creating crude rings. With these less than perfect rings I created a chainmaille shirt. It took many months and many coat hangers.
In the 35+ years since that day, I have created dozens of full suits of armor and thousands of pieces of jewelry and accessories. I spent many years on the road selling at Renaissance and Medieval Festival, Art Shows and even owned a small shop for a while. I now sell on line only.
I also create many jewelry and other items in the Steampunk genre. I have always had a fascination with how things work. Creating jewelry and art from the components of ancient devices only seemed natural to me.
I was lucky enough to see the original Star Wars: A New Hope in the drive in theater with my family when I was just 5 years old. I have to say that this is one of the greatest expeiences of my life. The Star Wars Universe has molded me into the person I am today. When I was a child I collected and played with and destroyed many a toy. In my adult years I have tried to recreate my childhood toy collection. Many times I buy lots of toys just to gain the one in the lot I do not yet have. I sell my extras here: http://VintageStarWarsShop.etsy.com
