Teresa's Profile

About

Hello and thank you for dropping by. My name is Teresa, and I live in the beautiful historic city of Norwich, in the East of England.

I was brought up to be creative, with one grandmother teaching me to cook and knit, my other grandmother teaching me to crochet, my mum teaching me to sew, and learning embroidery at school. When my kids were small, I made many of their clothes, either knitted or sewn. As they grew up I took up cross-stitch embroidery, and wanted to design my own, but in those days there wasn’t the software around, and being self-taught I had no idea where to begin.

As time went by, I took up jewellery-making. Ever since I began with a few beads and glass pearls I have always admired the art and talent of bead embroiderers, and set about finding out as much as I could about this fascinating craft. I managed…

I managed to source many of the things I would need, the beads, cabochons, tools and backing and began. I surprised myself with the results, and I am very proud of all of my pieces.

Now I want to put a British slant on the embroidery, and I have introduced some pieces that include celtic knotwork within the design, and others that are inspired largely by ancient celtic myth and legend.

I hope you can favourite this shop so you can see my collection as it expands, as I am totally addicted to bead embroidery now and cannot stop new designs swirling around in my head until they are made into the finished piece. I think I’ve found my niche!

I am also on Esty in two other shops.

One is for beading tutorials, https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/CTBeading

The other is for artwork http://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/ArtZentric
