I am trying to get my life aligned with my priorities. Why is that so hard?

Formerly an industrial engineer, now I do a little ranch work, a little painting, the VERY minimum possible of housekeeping, I am on the staff part time at my church (www.cibolocreek.com) and I juggle artworks, online promotion and volunteer time at two galleries:

If you have not seen the Texas Hill Country, you need to schedule a visit. Since you are an Etsy person (and therefore not a mainstream shopper) I predict that you will really like San Antonio's La Villita and the history-rich towns of Boerne, Fredericksburg and Comfort.

The Henkes have been ranchers in Fredericksburg for more than 100 years and I "brand" all of my paintings with a tiny Rocking O, which is our cattle brand. That is the only use that the image gets these days, as cattle get ear tagged instead of branded!

I love pinterest, so look for me there and pin myimages freely.

The most important part of my life's story:
At one point I realized that I could not trust myself to choose my values & priorities over my comforts & the pursuit of likeability.
I tried to change, but I was well and truly stuck. Surrounded with people, I felt lost and alone. Then I started wondering about what God might be up to. Long story short: I have been rescued... now I am grateful... and trusting in the only trustworthy One!
What's the most important part of your life story?

Thanks for stopping by.
