About

My husband Jared and I are the proud parents of 5 very prestigious, and very furry, adopted children. Clementine and Sofia , the first to join our family, are two former members of the Parisian Kit-eratti. Known for their daring fashion sense, (and very few faux-paws), these two sisters gave up the kitty spotlight, and decided it was time to come back to America in order to spend more time leisurely laying about the house in various juxtapositions. To their dismay, “the good life” was but a mere glimmer in their eye as their rambunctious new brother darted through the door, Benny Boo Boo Bartholomew III. Benny Boo Boo joined our family right after doing 8 months of hard time in the local lock-up. There he earned his title of, “fastest mouse-slinger this side of the Mississippi.” So you can imagine the terror unleashed upon any and all that dared to cross his path. But after living with us, he has since mellowed out. Boo boo hung…

Boo boo hung up his hat and put away his boots for good. About a year later, a 6 lbs, bald little stray pup wound up at our doorstep. Penelope, a Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix, had a treacherous journey across the border, fighting off bears with her two ferocious teeth, finding shelter through massive tornadoes and blinding blizzards, but her worst enemy was no bigger than a flea: fleas. The allergy to these pesky pests caused an infection resulting in total hair loss. After living with us and the other 3 siblings, she grew a luscious mane of hair, and developed a beautiful singing voice. Our last child came to us as a baby. Lola was an oops. Her mother, a Newfoundland, had previously given birth to 16 children, so she and her husband, a Black Lab, decided in order to give their daughter the best life, they put her up for adoption. Penelope took her under her care, teaching her the ins and outs of being a proper dog. Lola has grown into a beautiful dog, acquiring a fascination for the show “American Pickers,” and is now pursuing a career restoring old furniture.

Jared and I may not hold a candle to these pets’ vibrant or action-packed lives, but we do love to make a mess!...I’ve gotten myself in to trouble for so many messes in my life, I figured its probably time to channel my inner mess-maker and put it to good use. I love to create all kinds of things, and my inspirations are Dorothy Gale, Gwen Stefani, Patsy Cline, Candice Olson, Betty Crocker, and of course, Martha, red lipstick, and all things girly, glittery and pretty. Jared started painting in high school and moved on to screen printing soon after. He is a music aficionado and is inspired by breakfast food, The Fall, Kurt Vonnegut, a good cup of coffee, and sitting on the back porch in the evening. We both are big Michael Jackson fans and danced to “Thriller” as our first dance at our wedding.

We put our very best into every piece that we create and its done with 100% love.
