About

My name is Eva and I'm the owner of The Blue Rabbit House. I live in the center of Antwerp, on the top floor, with my love of my life and two adorable cats.

Everything started at the end of 2010, when I decided my crafting should be more than just that. The need to craft had never been bigger. My hands were itching and they've never stopped. I've been drawing as long as I can remember and embroidery has been an important part of my life too. Around 2010 I learnt myself how to use a sewing machine and so many doors opened ever since. I love illustration in any form, but books, prints, postcards, ... always end up on a wall or on a shelf. I want to be able to carry around my illustrations whenever I want to.

Show it off to whoever I want to. That's where I started to turn my drawings into embroideries. These are then made into beautiful products such as coin purses, large storage bags, brooches, ... My illustrations on their turn are used for a line of jewelry.

Apart from the illustrative side of my business, there has been an urge to make storage bags and organizers. It comes from a personal need to organize my working material. Popular items such as crochet hook holders, jewelry rolls and large clutches have been a part of the collection since the very beginning. Another favourite are the mobile phone cases.

All the fabrics I use combine perfectly with my own drawings and illustrations.

My main inspiration is nature. I work in a minimalistic yet detailed way and nature goes hand in hand with it. A tiny flower can have so much details! I try to bring these beautiful details into my work.
