TheCreativeARK's Profile

About

A graduate from Purdue University with a BFA in Fine Arts, after attempting to go the "advertising route" I learned that the lack of creative opportunity within the art department was not for me. About

A graduate from Purdue University with a BFA in Fine Arts, after attempting to go the "advertising route" I learned that the lack of creative opportunity within the art department was not for me. I was rejected by a major greeting card company after about 9 months of communication and decided that-- God didn't agree with the path I was on. So, long story short my current job is working as a mortgage loan officer with aspirations that one day (hopefully not too far away) I'll be able to "do art" full time.

My primary interest has remained within the realm of children's book illustration. Often inspired by the innocence and nonchalant character of children, I find myself continually pushing my work into more simplistic, entertaining realms.

The Creative ARK is my blossoming artistic endeavor which features greeting cards and other fun artwork I make. While my new home site is still in the process of being built, I will continue to utilize Etsy as a forum to get my artwork out there and available.

Recently I've been focusing more on "commissioned" work-- so if you enjoy my style and would like something "custom" please feel free to contact me and we can discuss the options.
