The melancholic tranquility of the night. The potential for mesmerizing bliss in solitude. A constant attempt to find contentment within the haunting mysteries of existence. My work looks at the dark and macabre through lenses of innocence or divinity. Nocturnal worlds of vibrantly colored, surrealistic nature exist as native sanctuary for delicate beings of unorthodox beauty and innocence , angelic creatures representing characteristics of the human being's inner world. Devoted to the unknown, they string together fear and/or pain with the delicate and beautiful to create something sacred and empowering out of life's "flaws". From within the melded juxtaposition of darkness and luminosity they are able to savor, with full intensity, the miraculous beauty of life.
