About

I started making felt food for my daughter when she began showing an interest in imaginative play, especially in her play kitchen. I was looking for safe, environmentally friendly alternatives to the plastic food widely available on the market today. Also, being a Registered Dietitian, I was troubled that many of the play foods mass-produced did not promote the healthy eating habits we try to follow as a family. Most of my inspiration for new items stem from our local farmer’s market and our family’s CSA box. After my daughter tries a new food, I love the challenge of trying to replicate it in felt. Watching her expand her palate and letting her imagination run wild while cooking in her kitchen is the greatest motivation I have. It is an honor to be able to share that with friends, family, and my customers.
