Looking for my shop? http://www.thegreenhaven.etsy.com

Welcome! I opened my shop in 2009 in hopes of creating a shop that could provide Eco Friendly items, in a variety of styles, that anyone would be able to purchase and use. I'm currently a student at Frostburg State University, which occupies most of my time. In 2009 when I first opened, I only had a few things and some poor pictures. I was living in a cramped 4 bedroom apartment, and had to keep all of my things (sewing machine, inventory, clothes, I mean everything!) in my bedroom. Because of this my shop was being neglected.

In the summer of 2011 I was finally able to start giving my shop the proper attention it deserved. All summer I started creating new inventory and working with my pictures. When the fall semester started, me and my fiance had found a place to move to. Here I have my own sewing…

Here I have my own sewing room! That's when I really started to get involved in my shop. And ever since I have been working to expand and improve my shop. If you have any suggestions or fabric suggestions feel free to share! I'm always open to new ideas!

I have completed numerous hours of research, making my product better every step of the way. I have finally found something that is easy to work with, keeps products and supplies fairly inexpensive and creates a nice clean and safe product. I create all of my Lunch buddies, Sandwich bags, and Snack bags using nylon interiors! Nylon is considered to be a food safe material, containing no harsh chemicals or toxic components. Nylon is a great product to use for many reasons. Not only is it food safe, nylon can be washed in a machine, ironed on a low or nylon setting, it is also stain resistant and water proof. Something else I pride myself on, is that in my design you'll never see Velcro sew lines in any of my products. This is because I have created a design in which the Velcro is sewn into my bags in such a way that it is not only durable but also leaves no thread lines from the Velcro on the visible product!
