About

My name is Erika and I am a work-at-home mom and artist in rural Pennsylvania. I was the director of a contemporary art gallery for many years, and am now a professional floral designer. My art background has led me into several different styles of expression, but flowers, weeds, fruits and branches have always captivated me.

I live in a tiny stone cottage that is planted in one of the most beautiful places in the world. When I step out of my door, I am surrounded by woods, lakes, fields, and orchards that inspire and facilitate my creations.

I use found or homegrown materials wherever possible and have perfected methods for preserving my materials naturally and effectively, and only select pieces that last when dried.

When I need inspiration, I look for it under The Linnet's Wing.

I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree,
And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made:
Nine bean-rows will I have there, a hive for the honeybee,
And live alone in the bee-loud glade.
And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow,
Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings;
There midnight's all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow,
And evening full of the linnet's wings.
I will arise and go now, for always night and day
I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore;
While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements grey,
I hear it in the deep heart's core.
