My husband and I make art in our home studio near Portland, Oregon. The Mad Platters Etsy shop is our second shop. Many of our plates and platters feature designs directly related to our Dictionary Page Art Prints found at http://fauxkiss.etsy.com.

Plates are best in person. It seems impossible to capture the delightful color and details of the artwork for the web view.

Our dinnerware is the revolutionary, decorated ThermoSāf ® Polymer dinnerware - Microwave safe - Dishwasher safe (Commercial & Residential) - Safe for use in conventional ovens at low temperatures - BPA free, free of Formaldehyde, free of BPAs and DEHPs, in addition to being FDA and NSF approved for food - 100% manufactured in the U.S.A. ThermoSaf Polymer dinnerware is luxurious, has dazzling gloss, is more weighty, and safer too!

ThermoSāf ® Polymer was developed in 1987 by a leading U.S. plastics manufacturer for the airline industry for microwave heating single-serving food trays. As airline profit margins decreased, the practice of serving hot meals to Coach air travelers became a fond memory and demand for microwave-safe airline dinnerware dwindled.
NEW printing techniques had been developed in the U.S. and after further research and development, ThermoSaf Polymer samples were successfully produced with stunning color. OUR plate manufacturer perfected the technique for applying images onto this incredible dinnerware by permanently imbedding water-base dyes.
